E-Newsletter: Issue 1 Volume 3 Beginning March 1, 2000 new features have been added to our monitoring system that will make it easier for you to configure your Notifact devices and manage message delivery addresses: *** MISSING HEARTBEAT *** If a device fails to report a nightly heartbeat for more than a day, you will be notified by a "Unit Failed to Report Heartbeat" message. For devices already installed, this message will be sent to the default email address(s) you selected when you first installed the device on our website. For newly installed devices, this message will be treated like any other message and will be sent to all methods you select at the installation of the device on our website. We recommend you keep the email delivery address and delete any phone messages because you probably would not want to be awakened at night by a phone call when an email the next morning would be sufficient. *** CHANGING DELIVERY METHODS *** To make any changes to delivery method(s), you must first click on the ADD, DELETE or EDIT links next to the delivery method you wish to change. This will bring you to a new screen. TO CHANGE A SINGLE MESSAGE: TO CHANGE ALL MESSAGES FOR A SINGLE DEVICE: TO CHANGE MESSAGE FOR ALL OF YOUR
DEVICES: *** LAST MESSAGE SUMMARY *** It now possible to view a list of the last message received from all of your devices by clicking on the "Last Message Summary" tab at the top of the screen. You can also sort these messages by device ID or date received by clicking on either of those links in the table header bar. We hope that these improvements will enable you to better manage & maintain the Notifact
devices you have in service. |
